As Jake continued to grow professionally, he sought new challenges and opportunities to expand his skill set, which led him to pursue a Superintendent role in custom home building. Through a mutual connection, he was introduced to Seth and the team at MFGC. After learning more about the company and meeting its leadership, Jake recognized it as the right fit and joined the team. He has now been with MFGC for over a year and serves as a Superintendent.
In his current role, Jake is responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating subcontractors and material deliveries, and maintaining organized, efficient job sites. He places a strong emphasis on quality control and clear client communication, ensuring each project runs smoothly from start to finish. Jake and his wife, Karlie, live in Vass, North Carolina with their two-year-old son, Sean. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors. He spends his free time fishing in the summer and hunting in the winter—interests he shares with many of his colleagues.
Jake was born in Maryland but has been a resident of Moore County, North Carolina for over 26 years. He was introduced to the construction industry at an early age through his father, who built a career focused on home remodels. After high school, Jake began working alongside his father, gaining hands-on experience while developing a strong foundation in the trade.
He furthered his education at Sandhills Community College, where he earned degrees in Architectural Technology and Civil Engineering Technology. While completing his studies, Jake continued working in construction, allowing him to develop both practical skills in the field and technical knowledge in the classroom.
Early in his career, Jake spent time working with an architecture firm before transitioning fully into the construction industry, where he has built over 15 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has gained knowledge across multiple areas of construction, with a specialization in flooring, remodels, and custom tile work. He successfully owned and operated a tile and flooring business in both Moore County, North Carolina and Evansville, Indiana. These experiences helped him develop a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
